If you have any trouble at all, or would like to speak to a person, call the toll-free reservation line at 800-544-0786 and mention the same code, AMIPA07.

Also, filmmakers can contact their programmer about staying at a B&B, being hosted by a local family, couch surfing, or other opportunities..

One things Alaskans take pride in is showing guests a good time. We do hope you come up for the festival. Along with the festival events and movies that are happening for ten days, we also have fun events for our visiting filmmakers.

We assign an Anchorage "buddy" to all visiting filmmakers who schlep it up. They are here to show you around and help you navigate our fair city. We are working on a group rate with a hotel and will post the information up here as soon as it is finalized. We have host families if you are on a budget - or enjoy hanging with the locals. There are even a few hostels around town.

All of our venues are either in the downtown or mid-town areas of anchorage. Renting a car can be helpful, though not necessary. We will have a shuttle van available, and are negotiating van service as part of the hotel deal. Truthfully, public transportation in Anchorage is abysmal for this kind of event. Don't even try.
