An encounter with an ill-fated loner creates parallel stories for two childhood friends. Adwin leads a solitary, structured life as the manager of a small restaurant. Cael a drifter, wanders the earth in search of something better. Embracing escape, Cael fantasizes about life in the city, but can he truly commit, or is it only a matter of time before he runs again? Bothered by a brush with death, Adwin becomes obsessed with a life that could have been. He soon realizes that the rules governing his life were made to be broken.
